Glow in the Dark Party!

The other day I went to the Dollar Store here in Pullman and I saw the glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces and next to them were some glow in the dark masks! so I got some masks for all of us and some bracelets too! Then that night we had a glow in the dark party! The kids thought that it was so cool! Matthew especially enjoyed it! Kaity got tired of it after a few minutes! Jeff wrote "COOL" with some of the sticks and Matthew and I laid down next to it! I'm on the left and Matthew is on the right! After this picture we all took turns making pictures! It was fun seeing the kids come up with pictures out of the glow sticks!
This picture is of Matthew!
Kaity wouldn't keep the mask on for too long! Thats why she isn't wearing one in this picture!

Matthew's First Day of Kindergarten!

Matthew has started Kindergarten! I cannot believe it! He has gotten so big that I hardly recognize him! It has to be the hardest thing for me to put him on a school bus and expect him to know where to go, once he gets to his school, and know how to get on the bus again and make it back to me! I guess I hold on too tight and its time to let him go now! But I have to tell you, I'm very nervous and ansy until the minute I see him get off the bus and the end of the day! I'm sure it will get better for me! Matthew, on the other hand, couldn't be happier! He LOVES riding on the bus! It makes him feel so big and cool! He has discovered that it is more fun to sit in the very last seat of the bus!
He loves his classroom and we both love his teacher! He always comes home so happy and excited, (and worn out! He has been sleeping very good lately!)
This is one of my new favorite pictures! They are both looking at the camera and smiling! That doesn't happen very often!

Walking to the bus stop!

The bottom picture is him in line to go into his classroom! This was right before he told me that he had a big stomach ache! It must of just been because he was nervous, because he was fine when he came home! But it was very sad! He leaned over and said his stomach hurt and then before I could talk to him anymore they were all rushed into the classroom and he was gone! :(

Here he is walking into his classroom! Thats his teacher, Mrs. Stone!

Then here he is getting off the bus at the end of the day! He had so much fun and was so excited to tell me all about his first day of school! I don't know how I'm going to handle it when Kaity starts school in a week!

Kaity's first Official Haircut!

I've trimmed Kaity's hair myself a couple of times, but she's never had a massive cut before! I took her to the beauty school in Moscow and got her hair cut! I would guess maybe about 3 inches off! It used to go down to her mid back and now it goes right to her shoulders! I was soooo nervous when I did it, but it was just starting to look kind of raggedy and a little unhealthy, so I thought it was time! I have to say that I LOVE it!! It makes her look so cute! It may be harder for me to fix it as much, but I'm glad that I did it! And it should grow back pretty quick!
The top picture shows how long it was before the cut! You can see that it goes down to her mid back!
The bottom picture is after the cut! Its kind of hard to see in the picture, but it is a lot shorter!
She did soo good at holding still! She thought that she was so special and pretty for being in the big chair and everything! After she was all done, she looked in the mirror and said, "I'm just like Mommy!" I think she's seen me in the chair a lot!
These pictures were after we were all done! In the top picture she is actually hiding behind the wall from a spider web, but it made a cute picture!

Lentil Festival!

On Saturday we went to the Lentil Festival here in Pullman! The first activity that we went to was the parade! We got there a whole hour early so we would get a good parking spot! We walked around on main street for awhile! They have this cool little fountain that we were playing in for a little while before the parade started! Kaity and Matthew would jump in the water and then jump out and make footprints on the sidewalk! Of course my klutz for a daughter fell when she jumped in the water and landed right in the mud! So we started the day of with her being wet, muddy, and very upset! And it didn't help that I couldn't stop laughing because it was soo funny! But she eventually cheered up and had fun, once she dried up!
There were a couple of stores that were giving out balloons and popsicles and water! Kaity accidentally let go of her balloon a few minutes after having it, so when I went and got her another one she wasn't NOT going to let it go!

I LOVE this picture of Matthew and Kaity! They both look so big and grown-up here! It would be a perfect picture if that balloon string was out of the way!
Matthew waved at all his favortite parade cars! Of course the fire trucks were one of the favorites! This was his first parade that he was actually agressive with getting the candy and toys! He actually made out pretty good! I have to be honest, I was proud of him! :)
There is ALWAYS a Spongebob Squarepants float!
When the parade was over they were doing a whole big thing at Reaney Park! I didn't get very many pictures there, but it was pretty fun! There was facepainting, the jump house, kid's shows, as well as a band singing for the adults, and all kinds of booths set up everywhere! It reminded me of a fair! It was pretty fun! The kids LOVED it! Its too bad that Jeff had to work all day! He missed out on all the fun!

Sunnyside Park!

I have found my favorite park here in Pullman! Its Sunnyside Park! It has a nice playground with an awesome slide that the kids LOVE! It also has a duck pond that always has a lot of ducks! If you take some bread and sit down on the edge of the water, the ducks come out of the water and come right up to you and take the bread right from your hand! They have gotten our finger a couple times, too, but they were very gentle! The kids said that it tickled! :) It is mine and the kids favorite thing to do now!
This picture I thought was pretty cool! I was having some fun with the settings on my cell phone! And I discovered the panoramic view! I know its hard to see! You might have to click on it to make it bigger!

Here's Matthew feeding the ducks!
She was pretty excited!
Here is the cool slide that we love! Yes I said 'we'! Jeff and I have to go on it, too, when we come here! I know that sounds silly, but it is pretty dang fun! :)

Swimming Time!

We have been going to Reaney Pool here in Pullman a lot lately! Its only $5 for me and my kids to go swimming there! There are two pools there! There is a pool with a shallow end and a deep end with a high and low diving boards, and there is another pool where half of it is for swimming laps and the other half is for swimming with innertubes or floaties! The kids LOVE swimming! I think they could stay in the water forever! It is also super cute to watch them swim, too!

They have a bunch of noodles that you can play with! Thats Kaity's favorite part!
Matthew can swim all by himself with his floaties on! Such a big boy!
Drying off after a full day of swimming!
This was my atempt to try and get all three of us in a picture! Didn't turn out very good!
So I finally asked someone to take our picture!

Matthew's Castle!

When Jeff's Mom came up to visit, she got Matthew these awesome wooden blocks for his birthday! She got him a 150 block set and then another set that looks like a castle when you set up! He plays with it like every day! He loves them soooo much! He likes to make castles and homes for his dinosaurs and dragons! Its so cute to watch him use his imagination! Thank you so much Linda! We love them!

My Dad has found this really cool chat site called ooVoo! It is actually a lot better than skype! You can talk to up to 6 people at the same time all on differnet computers! This is how I spent my afternoon the other day! I was talking to my sister, my Aunt and Uncle, and my Mom and Dad! Its great being able to stay in touch with my family!

Sick Little Girl!

A few weeks ago, Kaity got sick! She woke up throwing up and she couldn't keep ANYTHING down! Not even sips of water! The weird part was she never had a fever, but she always had to make sure that she had her throw up bowl right next to her! It was very sad!

The kids LOVE candyland! They ask to play it all the time! It is a lot of fun playing it with them too! Its amazing how the kids will win almost every single time!

Kaity was also having a really hard time identifying her colors, but now after this game, she is doing very well!

Kite Flying!

On Saturday, we decided to buy a kite and go fly it at Terre View Park! Matthew and Kaity were interested in it for about a minute and then they went and played on the playground! Jeff and I were determined to get it up in the air though! It ended up being too windy for it and it kept crashing down to the ground! I ended up getting it pretty high though for a little while! It was pretty fun! We will have to go and do it again!
