Swimming

This is the first time this year that we went to the swimming pool here. its so much fun and cheap! Its not usually very crowded and they let you bring in any floaties that you want. So it makes it a lot of fun.

Here we are about to jump in. I don't know why Matthew and Kaity are showing off their muscles.
Of course Matthew had to show off how strong he is again! :)
Matthew was so excited that he could reach the bottom farther out than last year!

I used the rapid shot feature on my cell phone and got Jeff jumping off of the high dive.
Beginning of jump...
During the jump...
In the water  :)
We took our giant turtle in and the kids had a BLAST!!!!! You could tell all the other kids were sooo jealous!

The Big 30!

Jeff had his 30th birthday last Sunday. It was nice having his mom up for a visit during his birthday. I think I had a little too much fun decorating for his party. I did an under the sea type of thing. The green streamers are supposed to be seaweed and the blue is the water and of course the balloons are fish. It was fun :)
Had to stick with the theme for the cake. If I had more time I would have made a fish out of the cake, but it was all last minute.

 Opening presents

 Singing Happy Birthday
 Blowing out the candles
Happy Birthday Jeff!! We love you! :)

Kaity's New Bike

We went to Walmart the other day and right there by the front doors they had this little girl pink bike! I looked at it and they had it marked 50% because it was refurbished. I looked it over and it looked just fine except for a few scratches on the handlebars. So I got it! Jeff made some adjustments to it and it works great. Kaity loves it and it just her size. I was so happy that she finally has a real bike instead of just her 3-wheeler now. She makes me VERY nervous on it, but she does a great job. I'm just a worrier! :)

So it takes her a little while to get the pedals going, but then she does a fantastic job! :) In the video you can hear her say "I did it!!"

Its great to see her actually be able to keep up with Matthew now.

28 Weeks 4 Days

I had a ultrasound yesterday morning. I was so nervous about it. There are just so many things that can go wrong being pregnant with diabetes. So we needed to check for any deformities and make sure that all his organs are functioning properly. See if he's growing too big. Lots of different things. I was so nervous for this ultrasound.
Well, everything went great. The ultrasound technician used the word perfect a LOT! Which made me feel really good. First of all, its still a boy! He is only measuring 3 days bigger which is perfectly normal. His heart was working great and had all 4 chambers and all his organs were properly formed. The amniotic fluid was perfect. The technician said that diabetes can make the amniotic fluid go out of control (whatever that means), but everything was healthy and working great! It made me feel so good and relieved! Can't wait to meat this little guy! :)

26 Weeks 4 Days

This week I am 26 weeks along. Everything is still going good. This week he weighs almost 2 pounds and he is 14 inches long. I have been feeling him kick and stretch and roll around a LOT!
This week he is the size of an English Cucumber (supposedly 14 inches long). I don't have any idea how he fits in there and he's only gonna get bigger! :)

4th Of July

This year for the 4th of July we went to Pullman again. Its becoming a tradition with us I think. We usually get there super early to get a good parking spot and then we just hang around until 10:00, but this year we spent the whole afternoon at my sister's house in Moscow so we didn't get to the park until about 7:00. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to find a spot to park, but as we drove by the front of the park, a car pulled out of a very good spot. We were very lucky! :) When the show was over it took us eactly 9 minutes from the time we got to the car to get home. It was perfect.

Matthew brought his Nerf sword with us to the park, so there was a lot of sword fighting going on.

Here, I told Kaity to smile and she broke out in some awesome dance moves. She's so goofy.

We made yummy sandwiches for dinner and brought a TON of snacks and candy! The kids loved it!
My sunburn was still so painful that the only thing I could bear to wear was my swimsuit and swimsuit cover.

Of course we had to get a belly shot! I'm getting pretty big.

When it started getting dark a policeman started handing out some glow sticks. Kaity especially had fun with that! She was waving it around and playing with it the rest of the night.
 Me with my wonderful kids!
Kaity said she was making a rainbow with her glow stick. Of course Matthew had to get his hand in the picture. :)
I had to get a few shots of the kids actually watching the fireworks show.
 Our wonderful family!

Here's a video of Kaity busting some of her favorite dance moves. She so funny when she dances I had to get a video of it! Sorry its sideways! I don't know how to rotate the video.

Water Park

For the 4th of July weekend, my sister Tara and her daughter, Tamara, drove over from Seattle so yesterday Tara and Tamara, Cami and her family and me with my family all went to the water park and spent the whole day there! It was the first time we had gone swimming so far this summer and it was a LOT of fun! We all enjoyed ourselves!
 Floating down the lazy river
 Matthew with his Aunt Tara
 Snack time
This was the first time that the kids didn't mind getting splashed in the face, so they really had fun on all the slides!

Jeff even did the obstacle course that they had set up.
 He did awesome!
 The final leap
We were there for almost 6 hours and we still had to drag the kids out of there! They had so much fun!
 The bad part:
I had bought the cheap generic brand of sun screen thinking that it would work just as well. We all learned the hard way that it does NOT work just as well! All 4 of us are so badly burned that we can barely get dressed. We tried to go to church this morning and the kids were crying as I was trying to get their church clothes on. So we ended up staying home! I feel so bad for them!
