Tyler Jeffrey Bowman

We had a beautiful baby boy on October 5th, 2011 at 7:47 am! He weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19.6 in long.
Here's the story:
My water broke at 12:30 in the morning. We had a really hard time finding someone to watch Matthew and Kaity for us to go to the hospital. All of our babysitters and neighbors that we had set up to watch them were all asleep and weren't answering their phones. So we called my sister, Cami. Jeff dropped me off at the hospital at 1:30 and then he drove to Moscow to drop off the kids at Cami's house and then came back to Pullman. Since I had had a C-section before (with Kaity) they couldn't induce labor, for fear that my uterus would burst at the scar. So we just sat around and waited until 7:00 in the morning. I was having big painful contractions and everything, but at 7 I was still barely dilated to a 1. So we just decided to go ahead with another C-section. We started getting prepped and ready. I of course was terrified and excited and nervous and happy all at the same time!
He was born at 7:47 am. When he was born I heard him sneeze before I heard him cry. He still sneezes kind of a lot, and I heard the doctors say that he had his eyes open when they pulled him out. After the surgery was done they took Tyler to get all cleaned up and checked over. His Apgar score was 9 and 10 (which is super good). When he was all wrapped up they brought him to me for a little while and he was so beautiful. I loved that he had hair.
After I got some hugs in they took him away to do more testing and stuff to him and they still had to sew me up. When they were done sewing me up I had to go to the recovery room until I wasn't numb anymore. It felt like I was there FOREVER!!!!! All I wanted was my baby! By the time I finally got back to my room and got to hold my baby again it was 9:30 in the morning! He passed all tests and was looking good!

Here are lots of pictures of what happened:

Here's Jeff and I waiting to find out what we were going to do.
Here we are ready for surgery to begin

Caution: Graphic photos!
Here are some shots DURING the C-section:
Here's little Tyler with just his head out...
and his body...
and here he is all the way out!
Dr. Hall held him up over the curtain right away for me to see him! Jeff was already in love!
Here's Jeff cutting the umbilical cord.
Jeff never left his side the whole time.
He couldn't wait to hold him! He is in heaven here! :)
And finally I got to hold him! He was absolutely perfect!

Here's Tyler looking at his Daddy for the first time! :)
He was 8 lbs 2 oz! Perfect size! Not too big!
Just chillin' under the heater.
Finally back in the room and holding him for real for the first time! :) He hasn't left my side since! :)

We gave our camera to one of the nurses that was in the room and she took all the pictures for us! It was really nice of her!
