Star Power!

I know I haven't done any hairdos lately! With my leg being broken and the fact that I NEVER get to leave my house, I haven't been very motivated to do anything fancy enough to be deemed worthy to be on my blog! ;) But now I'm starting to feel a little bit better and I'm getting Jeff to take me somewhere (anywhere) at least every other day or so, I thought I would get back in the swing of things! I absolutely LOVE this hairdo! It's probably my favorite for right now! I got the idea off of www.girlydohairstyles.com She wore it swimming Yesterday and it stayed in the whole time and it was just so darn cute! Its supposed to be a star, in case you couldn't tell!

This is what it looked like before I put the bun together in the middle of the star! I almost wanted to leave it just like this! I finally figured out how to do these twists so that they stay together really well and they don't untist after you get the elastic in.
Here's what it looks like after you put all the ends together! Now you just make a messy bun or just leave it in a pony! Whatever you feel like! They are both cute! See the star?
Try to ignore the big boot off to the side! :(
And you're all done!

Our New Camera!

Well, we finally got our new camera!!! YAY!!! My Mother-in-Law sent us a gift card for Walmart, to go and pick out a camera, for Jeff's and my birthday! I am sooooooo grateful! Thank you so much Linda! I am very tired of taking pictures with my cell phone! We took some random shots of the kids playing around with it! It did so much better than our other one! We were wanting a camera with a image stabilizer because the kids NEVER hold still long enough for a picture! I think we picked one, that was in our price range, that does really good with it! What do you think?

Here the kids thought it was fun jumping over the back of the couch onto the couch! I was pleasantly suprised that they don't look blurry! With our old camera, you wouldn't beable to tell what this is a picture of! It would just be on big blur!

Ashes, Ashes, We all fall down!

I wasn't very impressed with the fireworks display in Pullman! Mostly because ashes and peices of the fireworks kept falling on everybody! These are just the peices that literally hit us during the display! Weird, huh! They are really big chunks, too! At first I thought people were throwing stuff at us! It was weird!

4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July everybody!! This is how we spent our 4th! We went to the Pullman show this year! We got to the park at about 6 o'clock to find a good spot and then we set up camp and waited until 10! It actually went by pretty fast! The kids had fun running around in the grass and getting pizza and snacks! Jeff was running around with them! Since my leg is still broken I couldn't really do anything but sit there, so I got some more reading done! I also wrestled around with the kids on the blanket, as much as I could! I got some super cute pictures of the kids! They were both in such goofy moods!
We sat right next to the Fire Trucks and, of course, Matthew and Kaity HAD to go and see them! They were letting the kids look in the truck and everything and they were giving away these hats and stickers! They loved it all of course!
This is almost right before the fireworks started! Matthew was so excited!

Matthew and Kaity both LOVED the fireworks show! This is the first year that they really liked it and didn't think that it was too loud! Kaity's mouth was open the whole time because she was in such awe watching them! Matthew kept making ooh and ahh noises and after every single one he would say, "Matthew likes that one, no Matthew likes THAT one, No THAT one!! It was really cute! Then towards the end he told me that the fireworks looked like cereal! I know, weird! I've never heard someone compare fireworks to cereal before, but that Matthew for you! He is VERY creative with a BIG imagination!

Hope everybody had a great 4th of July!!

Pinewood Derby!

This morning our church had a pinewood derby. Matthew and Jeff made the car together and Matthew had so much fun with it! It was a great daddy/son activity!
Here's the finsished car.
Here's what Kaity and I did while the boys were making their car! Kaity was in the hammock, loving her life, and I was sitting next to her reading the fourth book in the Twilight series (Breaking Dawn) and rocking her!
Here we are at the church building getting ready to race!
Here they are waiting in line to race!
Kaity was sad that she couldn't go and be next to Matthew and Jeff! I know, it's so horrible staying with mommy! :(
We lost! We barely made it to the end of the track! But it was fun and a good experience for Matthew! After the racing we took the kids to McDonald's for ice Cream cones! They LOVED that! :)
Don't you just love Kaity's little ice cream goatie?

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today (July 4th) is my mom's birthday! I wanted to make a special mention for her and wish her a happy birthday! We might buttheads from time to time, but whenever I'm sad or hurt or sick, the only thing I want to do is talk to my mom! I never really appreciated everything that she did for me while I was growing up until I became a mother myself and realized how hard it is! And I've only been doing it for 4 years and I only have 2 kids. She's been doing it for over 30 years and she had 7. I can't wait for you to come home from Kentucky! I love you and Happy Birthday!

School Bus Ride!

This was Matthew's second week going to school! He's going to Summer School every Thursday. Since I can't drive because of my broken leg, they come and pick him up and he gets to ride on the school bus! He loves it sooo much! He has so much fun on the bus. He comes home and tells me how bumpy it is! Last week it was so hard for me to let him go! He's only 4 years old and he's already riding the bus all by himself! :( Last week I really didn't think that he would go on the bus all by himself! I thought he would be scared to go without me, and I was nervous for him to go all the way across town. Its so far away. So I told myself that I would just see where the bus came to pick him up and then I would try next week. Well, the bus comes in the parking lot and parks RIGHT infront of my door! Then the teacher steps out to help them if the need help, so I couldn't get out of it! When he saw the bus he got sooo excited, as soon as I got his shoes on he was out the door and he was already on the bus before I could even stand up from putting his shoes on! I walked out to the bus and he was already strapped into his seat! I didn't even get a hug good-bye! :( He is so grown-up! So then this week I was all ready to talk some pictures (with my cell phone) of him getting on the bus! I was upstairs getting everybody dresssed when I heard the bus pull up and honk! It was 30 min. EARLY!!! I rushed to finish getting him dressed told him to go potty and then he booked it down the stairs! He started getting on the bus before he even had his shoes on! He's such a goof ball! The bus driver apologized for coming early! He says he sometimes losing track of the time and comes early! Weird! So in all the haste this morning, I once again didn't get any pictures of him getting on the bus, but Jeff was home when the dropped him off so we made sure that we were ready when he came home! He is just growing up WAY too fast for me! I guess I need to let go a little bit! Maybe I am too clingy! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Father's Day!

We had a pretty good Father's Day this year! I wish I didn't have a broken leg because I couldn't really do very much for Jeff, but I did as much as I could! He had to help make his dinner, but he said that he didn't mind! He wanted my Chicken Enchiladas! He played a lot of X-Box (his favorite thing), and we played a lot of board games. Matthew and Kaity had fun playing Yahtzee with us!

Here's the gift that I made for him! I took the top off of his nightstand and I decoupaged a bunch of pictures on top of it! I got some pictures from when we were dating and then engaged and then some of when Matthew was a baby and then when Kaity was a baby and then some recent pictures of us!
Then I made these magnets for him! I know its hard to tell, but it has pictures of all of us inside the marbles! I thought it would be nice for when he has an office or something to have these magnets with picture of us!

Sorry the pictures are so bad. We still don't have a camera and I'm still working with cell phone pictures!

Palouse Science Discovery Center!

On Saturday we went to the Palouse Science Discovery Center in Pullman! They were celebrating their 10 - year anniversary so they were having 1/2 prices and all sorts of fun activities and extra stuff there! Matthew and Kaity's favorite thing was the dinosaur pit! They had this pit full of lentils and you were supposed to dig up the fossils and they had a bunch of toy dinosaurs! They LOVED it! It was hard getting them to leave it to go and look at the other stuff there!
Petco came and set up some tables and had some kittens and dogs and stuff there to adopt! Matthew and Kaity love animals so much!
Kaity was very intrigued with this bird! It was a very talkative bird and Kaity just didn't quite know what to think of it! She could not get her eyes of it!
Of course being the boy that he is, he loved looking at the snakes and spiders and insects and stuff!
Once we got them away from the dinosaurs, they found this really cool car tracks setup! The colorful tracks all come apart and you can bend them in any direction you want. Matthew and Kaity loved this also! They thought it was awesome! They thought a lot of things there were fun! I'm glad that we went!

My Little Ganster!

Matthew found this hat the other day in a closet and put it on by himself. He insisted on wearing it like this! I had to get a picture because I thought he just looked so cute, like a little ganster or something! I don't know, I just thought it was cute!

Settin Up The Tent!

The other day we got really bored around the house. I can't really go many places with my broken leg and its starting to take its toll on everybody else. They are all getting very stir crazy in the house. So we decided to set up the tent just for fun. Matthew had so much fun helping Daddy set up the tent. It made him feel like such a big boy.

Kaity and Matthew thought that it was so cool once it was all set up. They went inside and just ran around.
We decided not to have naptime and we just had rest time inside the tent instead. We got every pillow and blanket that we own and a cupple of stuffed animals and made I nice cushioned little bed. I read my book (The third book of the Twilight Series) and the kids played and Jeff played around with them. We all had a lot of fun.
